A new malicious software targeted at millions of smart Android devices was unveiled on Tuesday, aimed at exploiting smart phone processors for virtual currency mining.
The famous security company "Malwarebytes" on Tuesday (February 13th) discovered a malicious software targeted since November 2017 millions of smart phones in the Android system, where this malicious software exploits the resources of telephones and specifically processor for the mining of digital currencies.
According to Malwarebytes, the hackers used this method to monetize the "Monero" currency and that they drew the victims through camouflaged applications that lead users to a mined site. The company's security report pointed out that millions of devices have been infected with this malicious software over the past months.
